During our 10 days trip we drive around 400 km and we will plunge into the culture and traditions of the ancient Caucasian country. We will explore the capital of Georgia ant its main cultural center – Tbilisi. We will visit many sites of religious heritage and old Orthodox centers. We will discover the everyday life and customs of the rural population of the mountains regions
of the country. Passing through the mountain rivers, gorges and forests we are going to enjoy the beauty of Georgia’s natural resources.

How will the trip go

Day 1

Arrival and meeting in Tbilisi. Check in. Walking around the city.

Day 2

Breakfast at hotel. Excursion with the guide across the old city center. Sunset on viewpoint of Mother Georgia statue, special dinner. Planning our trip.

Day 3

Transfer from Tbilisi to Mtskheta. Visiting of the Jvari monastery and with stunning views of the river Aragvi. Then we are going to Kvatakhevi monastery. After our way is going through the village of Karagadji towards the Gori city. Check in.

Route: Mtskheta – Gori (70 km.)

Day 4

Breakfast at hotel. Then after visiting the museum of Stalin our way is going through the villages of Karagadji towards the Borjomi city. It is a resort town noted for its mineral water industry, which is the number one export of Georgia. Because of the supposed curative powers of the area's mineral springs, it is a frequent destination for people with health problems. Check in.

Day 5

This day our route runs through the magnificent mountain landscapes towards the village Zestafoni, one of the main historical center of the Imeretia region. There are lots of ancient fortresses and monasteries.

Day 6

After breakfast at hotel we will go to the city of Bagdati where the museum of Mayakovsky, the great Soviet poet, is located. There he was born and spent the first years of his life. Further, along the way there will be plantations of vineyards from which famous Georgian wines are made. We will definitely taste. We arrive in Kutaisi in the evening – the capital of the ancient kingdom of Colchida where the Argonauts were sent for the Golden rune.

Day 7

Breakfast at hotel. Then we are going to visit the monastery of Gelati right near the city of Kutaisi. The monastery was founded in 1106 and is the main monastery in Georgia as Monuments of World Heritage. On the way through the mountains passes to the city of Samtredia we visit the karst cave of Prometheus. According to the ancient Greek epic, Prometheus was chained to the mountains around the area. The excursion to the cave consists of two parts – a cave tour and a boat ride along the underground river.

Day 8

This days our way is going through the villages of Lanchkhuti and Mamati. Further we are going to visit the city of Ozurgeti, known for its museum of local lore. Among other things it preserves the bust of Stalin and the sword of Napoleon Bonaparte. By the evening we arrive in the small ancient city of Kobuleti.

Route: Samtredia - Kobuleti (75 km.)

Day 9

Our way is going through the Black sea coast. Check in. Batumi sightseeing tour: old city center, botanical garden, the monument Ali and Nino, the Alphabetic tower, etc. A visit to the Batumi fountains and a joint dinner are planned for the evening.

Route: Kobuleti - Batumi (30 km.)

Day 10

Check out. Transfer from Batumi to Tbilisi.
